Wendy Rimel is a native of Colorado and resides in the Vail Valley. After graduating from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Wendy built a successful career in sales and marketing in Seattle and Southern California. She spent thirteen years in the paper and recycling industries with Georgia-Pacific Corporation, becoming the first female Sales Representative for Georgia-Pacific Harmon Recycling. Her role involved extensive travel in Asia, often surprising clients expecting "Mr." Wendy.
Since 2020, Wendy has been working full-time for the Education Foundation of Eagle County. She successfully doubled the budget within two years, significantly enhancing its community impact.
In addition to her professional achievements, Wendy has extensive political campaign experience and is deeply committed to education. She volunteers for education-related causes and, as the founder and current Executive Director of the Education Foundation of Eagle County, serves on the board of Great Education Colorado, Eagle County Colorado Gives, and was on the founding committee for the Eagle Valley Community Foundation.
In her spare time, Wendy enjoys skiing, biking, and exploring the outdoors in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. She also cherishes time spent at her family's cabins on Tennessee Pass.
